Stanley Baker’s last film, although Alain Delon played the leading role in this Italian production.
The beginning of the film was shot in Lanzarote, the middle around Madrid in Aldea del Fresno, (for the fishing scenes), Nuevo Baztán (Nueva Aragon in the film), Robledo de Chabela and La Pedriza, and the final scene where Delon says his farewells, in Almeria.
The castle scenes at the end, where Zorro interrupts Hortensia’s unwanted wedding and finally gives villainous Stanley Baxter his just deserts were shot at Viñuelas.
The chapel situated in front of the castle also appears.
