Patton (1970) Alcazaba

Almeria played all the parts for North Africa and Sicily during the making of this film, and when Patton is twiddling his thumbs in Malta, waiting for some action, it is the Alcazaba castle that provides the snapshot, with glorious views of the Mediterranean as Patton stands on the Cerro de San Cristóbal having dispatched some reporters.

We also see the castle from Almeria’s main square, portraying Messina, when Montgomery arrives to find that Patton has beaten him to it.
