Almeria also gets a look in as Jaguar assaults a castle, that is none other than the Alcazaba. Pursued by two jeeploads of defenders, he shakes them off and wipes them out in the desert of Tabernas.

The Escuelas de Artes in Almeria city, where Lorca once studied, represented El Habbad in the film, and may have given ideas to Stephen Spielberg, who would later use it in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
