In this stirring story, a debate between fate and coincidence, the Monastery of Uclés, mainly the cloister, is used for the scenes where Sister Geraldine Chaplin is called upon to provide a nun to accompany a rich, drunken female aristocrat played by Kathy Bates, and as they ride away together we see the view made famous in The Four Musketeers, with a tower of the adjoining castle just visible.
