After leaving Kabul, passing in fact through a gate in the walls of Jairán, part of the Alcazabar castle of the city of Almeria, Omar Sharif stops to prematurely break off his unmanly plaster cast with a rock; a decision he would have later regretted were he not so manly. This takes place in the ruins of Tabernas Castle.
